Me coming in from the front porch mailbox: Hmmm, what is this ginormous and heavy box?
Looking at the return addy: From Chris in Hawaii, now I’m really intrigued!
Opening the box: Man, musty as can be, what IS IN THIS HEAVY BOX????
And the answer is:
The first bag out of the box is enough vintage green yarn to knit a boat cover.
A green boat cover.
Of SPINNERIN BOUCLE!
When did they stop making Spinnerin?
The price tag on the skein says a buck and change so it must be awhile!
The second bag???? Marietta yarn, I have never heard of it I don’t think….. and check out the swatch (it’s an amorphous thing) of a cream boucle?
What to DO with it all, that is the question and besides the musty smell of it all…….. what to DO????

Ahhh Spinerin.. my mother knit a lot when we were growing up. She also was a stunt knitter for a knit shop. She’d finish stuff other people started and gave up on in exchange for yarn (60′s.) That brand brought back those memories of mom knitting.. she still loves it and knits baby hats for newborns.
