So I got my second super short haircut. The first was way short, the second pretty dang close to a true pixie. I still have a love hate relationship with it. Personally I think the majority of the angst comes from the fact that for years my hair was a product of Starch and a flat iron. It gave me that smooth non fuzzy quality that was control all the way.
I have less control because I can’t flat iron it (and at this length don’t want to)—- but am still just squidgy about it. Friends and family all love the cut citing “super cute”, and I will admit that hair this short is hard to wear indeed.
It was too soon after just one cut to give up —- so I think I’ll wait until 6 weeks have sailed by to give definitive answers of any kind. My biggest fear is that to grow this out will take some time and oh lordy mama will it be ugly in the interim!!!
Remember when I grew out my color? That having gone gray at 22 it was just time to be ME…… but there was that whole ugly trailer trash phase. Holy Cow that was scary. I guess if it needs to be grown out I’ll be auditioning hats!
